​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Borsa Istanbul Derivatives Market (VIOP) is a market in which futures and options contracts on economic or financial indicators and capital market instruments can be trade in electronic environment.

Futures contracts are contracts that give the obligation to buy or sell an underlying asset at a predetermined price, quantity, and quality on a specific maturity date. Investors willing to take on price fluctuations and wish to hedge their financial investments can trade in these markets. The contract size and maturity of futures contracts are determined by contract type. The initial margin required for an investor to execute a trade is different for each contract type. Investors wishing to close their positions do not have to wait until maturity. They can close their positions partially or completely by executing a reverse transaction before maturity. As in many organized futures markets worldwide, the VIOP utilizes cash settlement rather than physical delivery.

You can find the details of the evening session application below;

- Evening Session following the Normal Session is the session where trades are executed based on multiple price method according to price and time priority rule and trades are considered as to be held at next day Normal Session trade.

- The transactions in this session will be subject to clearing together with the transactions that will take place the next day.

- Index futures (BIST 30, BIST Liquid Banks, BIST Liquid 10 Ex Banks and BIST Sustainability 25), USD/Ounce Gold futures, USD/Ounce Silver futures, USD/Ounce Platinum futures, USD/Ounce Palladium futures and USD/Tonne Copper futures are traded at Evening Session. 

- If the order is to be valid during the Evening Session during and after the regular session, the "After Hours"(Evening Session) option should be selected when sending the order.

- "GoodTillCanceled" and "GoodTillDated" orders placed during the Normal Session will remain valid during the Evening Session if the Evening Session field is checked, but these type of orders cannot be entered during the Evening Session.

-Evening sessions are not held on half-business days and the last business day of the year.

VIOP order transmission operates under normal procedures.

    Orders entered will not be valid during the evening session, but will be valid during the regular session the following day and the days leading up to their expiration date. The stock exchange will make the order inactive at the beginning of the evening session and activate it in the Normal Session.
